Rachel Boughton created the beautiful bronze birds, mammals and amphibians that decorate the parks’ playgrounds to reflect the local fauna. The four sculptures that make up “life cycle of a frog (1994/95),” in Cowan Park, were the first bronze works she made as she was leaning to cast bronze at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in the Central District.
