Artist Jay Lazerwitz’s human-scaled wood sculptures are made from salvaged cedar, cut and carved in a reductive-method, revealing layers, interior portions, and insect paths referencing figure-ground studies of cities, miniature inhabitations, and imagined miniature worlds. The three gigantic mugs in his side yard are part of a larger series of fiberglass sculptures produced in 1999 as a promotional project by Millstone and painted by several artists.
